The CUV e: and ICON e: announced this time represent the 10th and 11th models, respectively, of the goal of “launching 30 electric models globally by 2030,” announced at the “2023 Honda Electric Motorcycle Business Briefing” held on November 29, 2023, and represent steady progress toward the 2030 goal.
Both the CUV e: and ICON e: are planned to be produced in Indonesia, with production taking place in the most appropriate location to meet the needs of each region, and they will be rolled out globally, starting with Indonesia. Honda CUV e:
The CUV e: is a model with an engine displacement equivalent to 110cc that is powered by two replaceable Honda Mobile Power Pack e: batteries.It is a commercial version of the SC e: Concept, which was exhibited as its world premiere at the JAPAN MOBILITY SHOW 2023 held at Tokyo Big Sight in 2023.
The name CUV e: comes from the CUV ES (Clean Urban Vehicle Electric Scooter), the first electric scooter that Honda sold for lease in 1994. The CUV e : was developed based on the same city commuter concept as the CUV ES , and as it is “an electric scooter that enables many people to travel comfortably around town,” the name CUV e: was created by adding the “e” symbolizing Honda’s electric vehicles to “Clean Urban Vehicle , ” and the vehicle is positioned as a personal commuter for a new era.

The power source is a ternary lithium-ion battery, which is popular in China, and charging can be done in two ways: on-board or by charging the battery alone.
The compact in-wheel motor in the rear wheel and the power control unit efficiently control the motor output, achieving a driving distance of over 50km *5 per charge , enabling clean and quiet driving.
