The last “Cafe Cub Meeting in Aoyama” before the Honda Aoyama Building reconstruction was a huge success!

Many users participated who cherish their Cubs that are over half a century old.

The Cafe Cub Meeting in Aoyama, held at Honda's Aoyama headquarters, is arguably the largest of the Cafe Cub Meetings held across the country. With so many participants every year, the two-day event is limited to a maximum of 250 bikes per day. This year, as usual, the number of participants was quickly reached, with applications flooding in immediately after the event was announced. I attended the first day of this popular Cafe Cub Meeting in Aoyama. 
The weather cleared up on the first day of the meeting, and participating Cubs began gathering in front of Welcome Plaza Aoyama from 9 a.m., when registration began. By 10 a.m., Cubs were lined up around the building, and while it's the same every year, the sight was impressive. The full range of Cubs, from early Super Cubs like the 1958 C100 to the latest C125, Cross Cubs, and Hunter Cubs, was also on full display, as always. While simply admiring the various customized Cubs was a joy, participants also took time to select their favorite models. 
With over 200 Cubs lined up, and owners here and there engaged in lively discussions about their Cubs, passersby on Aoyama Street stopped in their tracks, looking intrigued. Even foreign tourists could be seen chatting with owners in front of their custom Cubs, reaffirming the Cub's global appeal. In the afternoon, a 
Motorcycle Forum was held in the Welcome Plaza. This time, a talk show was held featuring non-fiction author Hiroshi Nakabe and actress Rina Onogi, herself a Super Cub 110 owner, focusing primarily on stories related to the Super Cub's history. Afterward, awards were presented to sponsoring companies, and the results of a popularity poll were announced. The event concluded with the traditional rock-paper-scissors tournament, with a chance to win luxurious prizes. Thus concluded 
the first day of the 27th Cafe Cub Meeting in Aoyama. A similar event was held the following day, the 20th, and was enjoyed by many Cub fans. The new Honda Aoyama Building is currently scheduled for completion in 2030. It is not yet decided whether the Cafe Cub Meeting will be held here again, but given that it is such a traditional event, I'm sure many Cub fans hope that it will somehow continue.
