The J-Cruise series combines the ease and freedom of a jet helmet with the convenience of an inner sun visor. In addition to safety, it pursues functionality and comfort, such as compactness and ventilation performance, and incorporates SHOEI’s latest jet helmet technology. The J-Cruise III is an advanced version of the J-Cruise, featuring a helmet shell with the latest aerodynamic shape.
The newly added graphic model, “WHIZZY,” is an English word that expresses extraordinary ability. The linear graphics, reminiscent of a high-performance gaming PC, give a surprisingly authentic impression, and the design is easy to match with any bike. Considering the characteristics of the model, it is of course useful for touring with many stops, but it is also a design that you will not tire of even if you use it every day for commuting to work or school. This new pattern stands out for its versatility and multi-purpose use.

SHOEI Jet culmination: Improved interior comfort and high-speed stability
The J-Cruise III is a new model in the J-Cruise series, a jet helmet boasting enhanced functionality and comfort, with an inner sun visor that instantly adapts to changes in visibility. While retaining the image of the previous model, the helmet has been redesigned to emphasize a streamlined shape from the front to the rear of the helmet. The new helmet also features a rear spoiler integrated into the shell, and the ribs on both sides of the shell have been redesigned. Together with the ventilation parts, it exudes a more refined, sporty feel.
In aerodynamic tests conducted at a speed equivalent to 100 km/h, the helmet’s upward lift force (lift) was reduced by approximately 5.5% and its front-pushing force (drag) was reduced by approximately 4% compared to the previous model (reference values measured in our own wind tunnel).
The ventilation function, a key factor in comfort, has also been enhanced. The number of outlet holes has been increased by one from the previous model, for a total of three. Furthermore, through testing in our own large wind tunnel, we were able to determine the shape of the parts that improves exhaust efficiency, achieving a significant improvement in exhaust performance of approximately 70%* compared to the previous model at a speed equivalent to 100 km/h (reference value measured in our own wind tunnel).
The QSV-2 sun visor continues to be equipped, adapting to various environments, such as lowering the sun visor to reduce glare during daytime riding, or instantly retracting the sun visor with the flip of a lever to switch to a clear shield when entering a tunnel. It boasts high optical performance comparable to the European sunglasses standard EN1836, providing a clear, distortion-free field of view. The sun visor operating mechanism uses a strong wire for smooth operation. To prevent the sun visor from accidentally lowering due to vibration, a stopper function provides a firm grip when the visor is fully raised.
The CJ-2 shield boasts a clear, distortion-free field of view and features a rib at the bottom of the shield, which increases rigidity and minimizes wind drag. Additionally, the window rubber on the helmet body has been upgraded from the conventional double-lip construction to an airtight seal for superior adhesion and durability, ensuring an excellent airtight seal.
The interior surface fabric, which directly affects the helmet’s comfort, uses a hybrid of moisture-wicking, quick-drying HYGRA fabric and brushed fabric. Moisture-wicking, quick-drying fabric is used in areas prone to sweating, such as the forehead and cheeks, while brushed fabric is placed near the opening, which rubs against the skin when putting on and taking off the helmet. This improves comfort and optimizes fit. The
leather-like fabric at the bottom of the cheek pads uses a more durable material than previous models, and the fabric incorporates patterns to ensure the design of the visible parts
unique to jet helmets. Furthermore, the helmet features a micro-ratchet chin strap, which allows fastening and unlocking even while wearing thick gloves. Made from durable stainless steel, the new design retains the safety design with two claws when fastening, while being more compact and lightweight. The strap is woven with high-strength, high-elasticity high-performance fibers, ensuring strength while slimming down for a better fit.
