The aluminum fairing, which makes use of the shape of the air-oil cooled boxer engine mounted on the R12, beautifully expresses a sense of speed with its curved surface configuration, befitting the car’s name “MOON Arrow.”

The front and rear wheels are converted from BMW Motorrad K series wheels, and MOONEYES’ iconic “Moon Disc” is attached to both sides of the wheels.

To match the rear end form of the single-arm Paralever swingarm, the front disc brake system is only on the right side, creating a beautiful look for the feet. Also, to avoid interference with the disc brake system and wheel hub, the moon disc on the right side of the vehicle has an exquisite curve.

The rear tire is a super-wide slick type Pirelli DIABLO SUPER 31KE, size 190/60-17.

The front and rear suspensions are lowered to the extreme, with the image of a land speed racer’s style that hugs the ground. The front forks are borrowed from other models, and a method of lowering the ride height was chosen.
Taking advantage of the boxer engine design, MOONEYES’ unique “world of speed” is expressed.
MOONEYES is the organizer of the Yokohama Hot Rod Custom Show (HCS), and has been spreading Japanese custom culture from Yokohama. The R12 custom produced by the company highlights the traditional boxer engine design while beautifully expressing the “sense of speed” that was embodied in the old MOONEYES racing machines.
MOONEYES asked Katsuya Tazaki of “KATIE’S CUSTOMS” to help with the custom R12 production. Tazaki, who is passionate about hot rods, has a finish that evokes speed, but also has a neat appearance that makes anyone who sees it sigh and say, “That’s cool!”
Before production began, Tasaki spoke about his vision for the project, saying, “BMW’s boxer engine has a unique design, so I want to take advantage of that and express the world of speed that is inseparable from MOONEYES.”

The avant-garde styling, which uses innovatively designed aluminum exterior parts, is combined with the low-slung body to express speed and power. The front and rear wheels are converted from BMW Motorrad K series, and MOONEYES’s iconic “Moon Disc” is set on both sides of the wheels.
In addition, to match the open rear end created by the single-arm Paralever swingarm, the front disc brake system is a single type on the right side only, creating an elegant look for the feet. To avoid interference with the disc brake system and wheel hub, the moon disc on the right side of the vehicle has been given an exquisite curve.

The front forks are adapted from other vehicles, and a technique for lowering the ride height is used. The fuel tank and seat cowl are designed to be compact to match the lowered suspension.
