What is “Bagger Racing” that overturns the common belief that Harleys are “not suitable for the circuit”?

The photo shows a race-spec Lowrider ST (2024 model) built by Mr. Nishida of Joyride Speed ​​Shop, a custom shop in Kodaira, Tokyo, which continues to pursue circuit performance with its air-cooled big twin Harley-Davidson. This bike is not just a racer-style customization, but aims to be the fastest car in “bagger races” (Note 1), and will undergo test runs on the circuit in the future.

The Lowrider ST is so well-made that discerning bikers say, “Even in its stock state, there’s nothing left to modify,” and Mr. Nishida of Joyride Speed ​​Shop has used the experience and technical skills he has cultivated over many years of racing to transform it into the ultimate road-going racer.

The front cowl, fuel tank, and seat cowl are dressed up in original paint with pinstripe details. The front cowl and front fender, which follow the stock form, are made of lightweight, high-strength carbon fiber. The sporty-shaped seat cowl that adorns the tail end is also made of carbon fiber.

The semi-up type handlebars and rear step are custom made, the brake and clutch levers are Gale Speed, the front and rear wheels are forged aluminum and the size is 18 inches.
