Kawasaki’s long-awaited electric sports model, the Z e-1, is set to bring a breath of fresh air to the motorcycle industry. It is a masterpiece that brings together the technology and knowledge that the company has built up over many years of motorcycle manufacturing, and is designed to deliver the joy of riding.
What’s noteworthy is that, despite being in the 200cc category with a rated output of 0.98kW, it has a full-fledged body comparable to a 400cc class motorcycle. The instantaneous torque and excellent response unique to electric motors allow it to combine quietness and agility at a high level.
In terms of riding performance, it is equipped with a “ROAD” mode for normal riding and an “ECO” mode for power-saving riding. In addition, it is also equipped with an “e-boost” function that provides instantaneous acceleration, and a “walk mode” that is convenient when parking, making it a design that also takes practicality into consideration.
The bike is powered by two lithium-ion batteries that can be charged either while attached to the bike or removed from the bike, allowing riders to choose a flexible charging method that suits their usage environment.
