Piaggio Group Japan Co., Ltd. has announced a special limited edition model, the Vespa 946 Snake, to commemorate the Year of the Snake, the Chinese zodiac sign for 2025. Orders will begin on February 1, 2025, with shipments scheduled to begin in early April. The price is 1,999,800 yen (tax included).
White Snake, inspired by snowy scenery
The Vespa 946 Snake features a design inspired by icy landscapes and the fantastical beauty of winter. Its striking iridescent blue coloring expresses the purity and strength of snowy landscapes, and the handlebar grips and seat feature special upholstery that replicates snake scales. The side ornament covers and front fenders are adorned with chrome-plated three-dimensional snake emblems, highlighting the special edition’s presence.
Only 888 units will be produced worldwide, each with its own serial number. The car is positioned as a symbol of living as gracefully as a snake and traveling beyond limits.
Design unique to steel monocoque body
The vehicle features a steel monocoque body, with aluminum used for the wheels, handlebars, side panels, front mudguard, mirror support, and seat support. It is handmade by skilled staff, resulting in a luxurious build. It is equipped with LED headlamps, LED taillamps, an LCD multi-function instrument panel, 220mm disc brakes front and rear, dual-channel ABS, and an ASR electronic traction control system as standard.
Additionally, a special collection, the “Vespa Snake Capsule,” will be released to coincide with the “Vespa 946 Snake.” In addition to the previously announced items, a long puffer coat and bomber jacket have been added, featuring designs themed around the icy world of winter. The puffer coat features a tone-on-tone snake outline, while the bomber jacket has an icy iridescent sheen, combining shiny fabric with embroidered details.
Vespa is accelerating its expansion into the global lifestyle sector, and in the first quarter of 2025 will open pop-up stores around the world showcasing the Vespa Snake Capsule collection.
