Review the handle shape

In this model change, the riding position has been optimized by reviewing the handlebar shape, and comfort has been improved by changing the material inside the seat. In addition, ETC in-vehicle units and grip heaters have been newly added as genuine accessories, enhancing convenience. Two color variations are available: “Gunmetal Black Metallic” and “Classical White.”

The Rebel 500 is a cruiser model that features simple styling, an easy-to-handle body size, and a seat height that gives a sense of security, and is popular with a wide range of riders.

The engine is a 471cc water-cooled, 4-stroke DOHC that produces a maximum output of 34kW (46PS) at 8,500rpm and a maximum torque of 43Nm (4.4kgm) at 6,000rpm. This engine has smooth output characteristics from low to high speed ranges, providing a comfortable ride in a wide range of situations, from city riding to high-speed driving.

The bike measures 2,205mm long, 810mm wide, and 1,090mm high, with a wheelbase of 1,490mm, a ground clearance of 125mm, and a seat height of 690mm. With a vehicle weight of 191kg, its lightweight and compact design makes it easy to handle for beginners and experienced riders alike. The fuel tank capacity is 11L, and the bike achieves a constant fuel economy of 45.0km/L (60km/h constant speed test value, with two occupants) and a WMTC mode value of 27.9km/L (Class 3-2, with one occupant).

The suspension is equipped with 130/90-16M/C 67H tires in the front and 150/80-16M/C 71H tires in the rear, and hydraulic disc brakes (ABS) are used on both the front and rear. The front suspension is telescopic and the rear is swing arm, achieving a comfortable ride and stable driving performance.

The diamond-shaped frame combines high rigidity with light weight. The caster angle of 28°00′ and trail of 110mm optimize the balance between straight-line stability and cornering performance. The clutch is a wet multi-plate coil spring type, and the transmission is a six-speed, constant-mesh return gearbox, allowing for smooth shifting.

With this model change, the Rebel 500 has evolved into an even more attractive cruiser that is closer to the rider. The new handlebar shape and seat material have been adopted, and the addition of an ETC in-vehicle unit and heated grips has been added, making it a truly satisfying improvement.
