It’s bike-shaped but acts as an electric kick scooter
SWALLOW has announced a new special-purpose small moped called the “MOPERO mini cargo.”
As a specific small moped, although it is a motorcycle, anyone aged 16 or over can drive it without a license, making it highly convenient as a means of daily transportation. In particular, it has a large load capacity and excellent climbing ability, and is designed with practicality in mind for use in Japan.
The MOPERO mini cargo has no pedals and runs solely on the power of the motor, so you won’t get tired even on hills or long distances. It comes standard with a front basket, a middle basket, and a freely expandable rear carrier, making it convenient for transporting shopping and luggage.
Equipped with a 0.5kW motor, it’s easy to climb slopes
It also comes equipped with a 500W energy-saving motor, allowing it to climb slopes with gradients of up to 32%. It also has a sidewalk mode that allows it to travel at a speed of 6km/h, allowing it to safely navigate some sidewalks while avoiding busy main roads.
In terms of security, the power can be turned on and off simply by bringing the included NFC card close to the device, and even if the card is lost, it can be unlocked with a pre-set password.The battery is a detachable, high-capacity type that is easy to remove and replace, making it easy to charge at home or on the go.
The combination of the front suspension and molybdenum steel frame achieves light weight and high rigidity, allowing for stable driving. The compact design makes it easy to maneuver in tight spaces and narrow alleys, and it can even be folded and stored in a car. It is available in four colors: yellow, greige, olive, and gunmetal.
The specifications are a battery with a rated voltage of 48V, a capacity of 13Ah, and 12.5-inch pneumatic tires on both the front and rear wheels. It is equipped with disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels, has a range of approximately 50km with a rider weighing 70kg, a maximum load of 200kg, a top speed of 19.4km/h, and a vehicle weight of 26.4kg. Charging takes 5 to 6 hours, and the unfolded dimensions are 128cm long, 55cm wide, and 112cm high.
This MOPERO mini cargo will be available for pre-sale on Makuake from early March, with returns planned at up to 35% off.
