Arai Helmets believes that “dodgement performance” is the most important factor in protecting the head with limited impact absorption performance. The RX-7X, the pinnacle of Arai’s full face helmets, is a model that can be said to be a favorite among racers, with a smooth shell that easily deflects impacts, which Arai pursues, and added unique comfort to it.
The newly added “NAGASHIMA” graphic is a replica model of Tetsuta Nagashima, a racing rider from Kanagawa Prefecture. Nagashima competes in MOTO2 and WSB, and won the Suzuka 8 Hours in 2022 and 2023. He currently competes in the highest class of the All Japan Road Race Championship both domestically and internationally, and is also dedicated to nurturing young riders. The design features mural art reminiscent of dynamic street graphics and a splash pattern that expresses explosive riding. The top of the head features an arrangement of the Japanese flag, creating a design that exudes a sense of speed. It would look great on full-cowl sports bikes, the latest super naked bikes equipped with super sports engines, and even special models with stiffer suspension, taking advantage of the retro feel of the 1990s.

Embodying Arai’s functional beauty, feedbacked from actual combat
The RX-7X is Arai’s flagship full-face helmet, adhering to its philosophy of protection performance. The sleek shell is made with “PB-cLc2,” a special glass fiber with a higher fiber density than regular glass fiber and 40% higher tensile and compressive strength. The lightweight organic AR mat (internal material), combined as a composite material, has also been improved to adhere closely to the latest super fiber, enhancing the strength of the SNC helmet’s net structure. While maintaining Arai’s unique, smooth shell design, the “R75 Shape,” which deflects impacts, the shield mounting point has been lowered 24mm based on the proven Snell standard test line, resulting in a smoother shape for the sides of the helmet.
The hyper rib that wraps around the bottom of the shell acts as a shock absorber like a car bumper, improving side pressure resistance. The sides also feature flat surfaces to make it easy to mount an intercom, a must-have for touring.
The distinctive “Diffuser Type 12” diffuser system extends the rear by approximately 20 mm and features a tapered, low profile on both sides. The improved spoiler function, combined with the variable rear aero fin, further reduces rearward turbulence at high speeds. Air intake efficiency is 19% higher than the Diffuser Type 10 (RX-7 RR5). The larger control switch allows for precise adjustment of air intake volume when fully or partially open, while soundproofing and rainproofing are also improved when fully closed.
Other features include an IC duct 5 located at the center of the top of the head, air channels for improved ventilation inside the shield, inner side ducts for improved cooling above the ears, and an NE nozzle, ensuring high levels of safety and comfort.
The shield is equipped with a Max Vision Shield, providing excellent visibility in a wide range of driving situations. An anti-fog Pinlock sheet is available as an option.
The interior is made of “Eco Pure,” a functional fiber that maintains the same weak acidity as bare skin and boasts antibacterial, deodorizing, and stain-resistant properties. The improved fit thanks to the completely redesigned system interior of the frame is also not to be missed.
