Mutsumi Connect LLC will reintroduce its SUV-style electric kick scooter, the MTM RiSE M-1S, on the crowdfunding site CAMPFIRE from March 7, 2025.
The crowdfunding price is 258,000 yen (tax included) including shipping, with returns starting from 162,800 yen (tax included), which is up to 37% off, and only 70 units will be available.
A rare off-road vehicle, a specific moped
The company raised approximately 9 million yen in a pre-sale held in February 2024, and this project marks the first anniversary of the launch. The MTM RiSE M-1S is an off-road electric kick scooter designed for outdoor use, and is attracting attention as a model that can be ridden on public roads.
This product is designed as a “specially designated small motorized bicycle” that complies with the revised Road Traffic Act that came into effect on July 1, 2023. By obtaining a license plate and taking out compulsory automobile liability insurance, anyone aged 16 or older can ride on public roads and sidewalks without a license. This legal amendment has created an environment where users can easily use electric kick scooters.
The MTM RiSE M-1S is characterized by its design, which pursues off-road performance. The body is made of lightweight yet strong magnesium alloy cast rims, and it is equipped with 10-inch air tires and a PU absorber suspension, which ensures stable riding performance. It can climb gradients of up to 15 degrees, and its large-capacity 13,000mAh battery allows for long-distance riding.
In terms of design, the company has pursued a stylish appearance that blends in with the beautiful cityscapes of Europe. It is available in three colors – black, yellow, and silver – and is designed to suit a variety of lifestyles, while also being tailored to suit the physique of Japanese people. Easy-to-install optional parts are also available, allowing users to customize the car to their liking.

The MTM RiSE M-1S has passed the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism’s Performance Verification System and has been confirmed to comply with safety standards, ensuring safety and reliability.
