Suzuki GSX-S1000GX…2,057,000 yen (including 10% consumption tax)
Suzuki has announced that it will be releasing a new color scheme for the GSX-S1000GX, a large crossover motorcycle model that combines a sports tourer and adventure. Equipped with Suzuki’s first electronically controlled suspension, this versatile bike is suitable for everything from on-road sport riding to off-road riding.
A crossover that combines sport and touring
The GSX-S1000GX is an ambitious model that uses the engine of the GSX-S1000 series to inherit the power performance required for sports riding while incorporating new technology and equipment to improve touring performance. The styling combines an aggressive exterior silhouette that embodies performance on par with that of a sports bike with a modern, upright riding position that pursues comfort during touring.
Suzuki’s first electronically controlled suspension
The biggest feature of the GSX-S1000GX is that it is the first Suzuki motorcycle to feature Suzuki Advanced Electronic Suspension (SAES), which electronically controls the amount of suspension damping and preload in response to changes in vehicle posture due to speed, road conditions, and braking.
Furthermore, by combining data from IMU and other sources with SAES, Suzuki has developed and installed its own proprietary program, Suzuki Road Adaptive Stabilization (SRAS), which detects uneven road surfaces and automatically adjusts suspension control. This enables both a smooth ride with reduced vibrations on unpaved roads and dynamic, sporty driving on the road.
Advanced driving stability thanks to a variety of electronic control functions
It employs a variety of electronic control functions, such as SDMS-α, which integrates the management of power output characteristics, traction control levels, and SAES damping settings, and a Motion Track Brake System that can activate ABS even when leaning into a corner. This makes it a crossover bike that can be easily used with high intelligence and performance, regardless of the situation, road conditions, or riding experience.
Also, it is worth noting that the vehicle comes standard with an ETC2.0 onboard unit, which is exclusively available in Japan and increases convenience when touring.
The GSX-S1000GX delivers high performance on a variety of surfaces, from long-distance rides to unpaved roads, making it the ideal bike for riders who want to enjoy everything from touring to sports riding.
