Suzuki released the 2025 model of the GSX-8S on March 14, 2025. This update includes changes to the color scheme and a revised manufacturer’s suggested retail price.
The car will be available in three colors: Pearl Cosmic Blue/Glass Sparkle Black (CLB), Matte Sword Silver Metallic/Matte Black Metallic No. 2 (CL9), and Matte Black Metallic No. 2 (4UX). The manufacturer’s suggested retail price is 1,122,000 yen (tax included).
Quick shift as standard
The GSX-8S is an 800cc class naked sports bike developed for a wide range of uses, from daily commuting to touring. It is equipped with a 775cc parallel twin-cylinder engine that utilizes Suzuki’s proprietary “cross balancer” technology. The two-axis balancer, positioned at a 90-degree angle to the crankshaft, suppresses vibration while achieving a lightweight and compact engine design. This results in a powerful yet easy-to-handle engine that allows for a comfortable ride.
The electronic control system is also well-equipped. It is equipped with the Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (SIRS) and the Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (SDMS), which allows you to choose from three different output characteristics. In addition, the traction control system STCS, which allows you to select between three levels + OFF, and the two-way quick shift system, which allows you to shift up and down without operating the clutch or throttle, are also standard equipment, allowing you to ride according to the rider’s skills and the situation.
It also comes equipped with “Low RPM Assist” to prevent stalling when starting, and “Suzuki Easy Start System” that allows you to start the engine with one push, making it a safe and reliable ride for everyone from beginners to veterans. ABS is also standard equipment, further enhancing safety.
Suitable for a variety of riding styles
In terms of design, the use of a short muffler exposes the engine and seat rails, emphasizing functional beauty and creating a modern naked style. The use of an aluminum swing arm realizes light handling and improves riding performance.
The vehicle specifications are also substantial, with a maximum output of 83 PS (61 kW) at 8,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 78 Nm at 6,800 rpm. The fuel tank capacity is 14 L, making it suitable for a wide range of uses, from everyday commuting to long-distance touring. The suspension uses an inverted front fork and a lightweight aluminum swing arm, improving road-holding and controllability. The brake system is equipped with radial-mount calipers, achieving high braking power.
