Yamaha has announced the 2025 model of its sports heritage model, the XSR900 ABS. The new model features a variety of improvements, including the adoption of the latest electronic control system, optimized suspension, and improved comfort.

Equipped with the latest technology, it offers even more refined driving performance

The 2025 model “XSR900 ABS” follows the class-plane concept* inherited from its predecessor, but has significantly enhanced its riding assistance technology. The most notable change is the inclusion of a 5-inch TFT display that can be linked to a smartphone. By connecting the vehicle to a smartphone with the dedicated app “Y-Connect (Yamaha Motorcycle Connect)” installed, you can adjust the YRC settings at your fingertips and display various information and images on the meter.

Furthermore, by installing the Garmin StreetCross app on a smartphone and pairing it with the vehicle, the navigation function can be used on the meter screen, greatly improving convenience when touring.

Updates to improve driving performance and comfort

The new XSR900 ABS is equipped with the new Yamaha Ride Control (YRC), which allows the rider to select the output characteristics and the degree of intervention of various electronic devices. This allows the rider to select the optimal settings according to their preferences and riding situation. It also comes with a full range of riding support technologies, including a flasher with convenient functions.

The suspension employs a fully adjustable KYB rear suspension, and the front suspension has also been optimized, improving stability and comfort during sporty driving.

We have also focused on improving comfort and convenience by optimizing the handlebar shape, adopting a new seat with improved cushion hardness, new handlebar switches, and a clutch lever with an adjuster mechanism.

Three color variations, including a Japan-exclusive color

The 2025 model “XSR900 ABS” is available in three color variations: “White,” based on the red and white of Yamaha’s classic race machines; “Black,” which enhances the serious sports image; and “Ivory,” which evokes the image of a casual motorcycle lifestyle, such as fashion and trends.

Of particular note is that “Ivory” (Ceramic Ivory) is a color and styling exclusive to Japan. However, the order period for this limited color is until Tuesday, September 30, 2025, so those considering purchasing one should make their decision early.

The XSR900 ABS is a Yamaha Motorcycle Exclusive Model that is sold only through YSP and advanced dealers. If you wish to purchase one, you will need to inquire at a dealer listed on the Yamaha website.

*The crossplane concept is a design concept that reduces inertial torque and efficiently extracts only the combustion torque generated in the combustion chamber.
