BMW M1000RR…From 3,849,500 yen

BMW unveiled the ultra-high performance special model “M 1000 RR,” which is scheduled to be introduced in Japan, at the Osaka Motorcycle Show.
The standard model is priced at 3,849,500 yen, while the model equipped with the M Competition Package is priced at 4,488,500 yen. Pre-orders are now being accepted at authorized BMW Motorrad dealers nationwide, with deliveries scheduled to begin around summer this year.
Equipped with a maximum 218PS engine

This model is equipped with a 999cc liquid-cooled, four-stroke, in-line four-cylinder engine that produces a maximum output of 218 horsepower (160 kW) at 14,500 rpm. Maximum torque is 113 Nm at 11,100 rpm, and the maximum speed reaches 15,100 rpm. The variable valve timing mechanism “BMW ShiftCam” is used, achieving excellent power delivery from low to mid-range to high rpm.
Aerodynamics and Design

The new M 1000 RR’s aerodynamics have been thoroughly optimized through extensive wind tunnel and road testing. The newly designed fairing and M winglets increase downforce at high speeds and improve cornering stability. This has resulted in a top speed increase from the previous 306 km/h to 314 km/h.
Chassis and suspension

It features an aluminum bridge frame and a rear suspension with inverted forks and Full Floater Pro Kinematics, which delivers high performance on the circuit and handling suited to sporty riding.
Special equipment and M Competition Package

In addition to the standard model, the M 1000 RR is available with the M Competition Package, which includes the M Billet Package, M Carbon Package, a lightweight swingarm, and an M Endurance chain, further reducing weight and improving performance.
The new M 1000 RR is a super sports model that brings together BMW’s latest technology and passion, and will deliver outstanding performance in any situation, from the circuit to public roads.
