Yamaha YZF-R1M…3,289,000 yen
Yamaha Motor Sales will release the 2025 model of the super sports model “YZF-R1M ABS” on March 31st and the 2025 model of the “YZF-R1 ABS” on May 30th.
The price for the YZF-R1M is 3,289,000 yen, and for the YZF-R1 it is 2,530,000 yen.
This model change is based on the concept of “GP teched R1 – An R1 evolved with knowledge gained from racing development” and aims to improve cornering performance and aerodynamic characteristics.
A supersport model that has evolved even further by incorporating technology directly derived from MotoGP
Changes common to both models include the adoption of winglets to enhance vehicle stability and the introduction of new seat upholstery that improves grip and hold. In particular, the YZF-R1 uses a new KYB front suspension equipped with an SDF (Separate Damping force Function) mechanism, enabling precise damping control. In addition, it is equipped with a Brembo front brake system, with a monoblock caliper “Stylema(R)” and radial master cylinder for improved controllability.
The new color for the “YZF-R1M ABS” is “Carbon,” which is based on carbon material and black, with the aluminum fuel tank buffed and clear coated. On the other hand, the “YZF-R1 ABS” is available in two colors: “Blue,” which symbolizes Yamaha’s sporty image, and “Matte Dark Gray,” which highlights the beauty of its shape.
The YZF-R1 is Yamaha’s flagship model that has led the supersport market since its European release in 1998. The Japanese version has also been on sale since 2009, and the YZF-R1M is positioned as a premium model that features a lightweight carbon cowl.
