Vietnam’s first electric motorcycle “ICON e:”
Honda Vietnam began shipping its first domestically produced electric motorcycle, the ICON e:, on March 27, 2025. The model offers environmentally friendly transportation and symbolizes Honda’s commitment to realizing a sustainable future.
Compact and sleek design
The ICON e: features a compact and sophisticated design designed for use in urban areas. Its body dimensions are 1,796mm in length, 680mm in width, 1,085mm in height, with a seat height of 742mm and a vehicle weight of 89kg, making it easy to handle.
The bike is fully equipped with LED lights, and the front lights are equipped with LED daytime running lights. The meter uses an LCD display that displays information such as speed, remaining battery power, and a clock. There is a 26-liter storage space under the seat, and a small item storage compartment and USB charging port are also located under the handlebars.
In-wheel motor
The ICON e: is equipped with a 1.5kW in-wheel motor in the rear wheel, which produces a maximum torque of 85Nm. It has a top speed of 55km/h, making it suitable for urban mobility.
The vehicle is powered by two detachable Honda Mobile Power Pack e: batteries, allowing it to travel over 50km on a single charge. Charging time is approximately 7 hours and 20 minutes from 0% to 100%, and approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes from 25% to 75%.
Includes advanced features such as power mode
The ICON e: comes with three driving modes – STANDARD, SPORT, and ECON – that can be selected based on the user’s preference and driving conditions. It also has a reverse mode that is convenient for maneuvering in tight spaces. There is also a version equipped with Honda’s proprietary service, Honda RoadSync Duo, which allows the vehicle to connect to a smartphone via Bluetooth and use phone calls and navigation functions.
