We will be exhibiting a collaborative model that combines Japanese culture and Japanese quality.
Helmet manufacturer SHOEI exhibited at the 52nd Tokyo Motorcycle Show, held at Tokyo Big Sight from March 27th to 30th, and following on from last year, unveiled collaboration models with characters that represent Japanese culture. They exhibited six models in collaboration with “Mobile Suit Gundam THE ORIGIN (OVA version)” and a model in collaboration with “Hatsune Miku.”
There are six types of models in collaboration with Mobile Suit Gundam THE ORIGIN.
It is based on the compact and lightweight Z series’ latest model, the “Z8.” The shell’s rigidity has been increased, resulting in a sporty shell design that ensures safety while remaining compact. It comes in four sizes: S, M, L, and XL. It features the newly developed CWR-F2 shield with a quadratic curved surface, minimizing distortion for a clear field of view. The shield is unlocked by pressing the shield lock button, and features a center lock system that can be easily operated with a single action.
There are six types of collaboration models with “Mobile Suit Gundam THE ORIGIN (OVA version).” The “Z8 RX78-02 Gundam,” “Z8 MS-06C-6 Zaku II,” and “Z8 MS-06S Char’s Zaku II” are scheduled for release in July, while the “Z8 MS-05 Zaku I,” “Z8 MS-06R-1A High Mobility Zaku II (Black Tri-Stars specification),” and “Z-8 MS-04 Bug (Ramba Ral specification)” are scheduled for release in September. All of these will be made to order until the end of November. Each model features a design and color based on a mobile suit, making them instantly recognizable to fans. They are fitting models for 2025, the 45th anniversary of the Mobile Suit Gundam series.

The Z8 collaboration model also includes a model featuring the world-famous vocaloid, Hatsune Miku. This model also features a turquoise green color that evokes Hatsune Miku, with illustrations by original illustrator Kei on both sides. This model is scheduled for release in August, and will be available to order until the end of September. The sales period is short, so fans should make their reservations early.
