Piaggio Group Japan (Piaggio Group Japan) has added the “GTS 300 Super” to its flagship Vespa “GTS Series” lineup on April 3, 2025, and has begun selling it at authorized Vespa dealers nationwide. The price is 869,000 yen (tax included).
The GTS 300 Super is a model that combines trends and tradition in a design that gives a contemporary impression. It is available in two body colors: glossy Innocente White and Combinto Black.
The graphite-coloured wheels have a diamond-cut finish and the seat with white piping stands out, while the car is complemented by numerous chrome-plated parts and sporty black finishes such as grip rubbers, footboard rubbers and front suspension springs.
Equipped with a high-performance 278cc HPE engine
This model is equipped with the Piaggio Group’s cutting-edge technology, the 278cc 4-valve single-cylinder “300 HPE (High Performance Engine).” It delivers a maximum output of 23.8 HP (17.5 kW) at 8,250 rpm and a maximum torque of 26 Nm at 5,250 rpm, providing reliable performance for long-distance touring and tandem riding. It also reduces CO₂ emissions and improves fuel efficiency.
The engine is a 278cc HPE four-stroke, water-cooled, single-cylinder, SOHC, four-valve engine with a bore and stroke of 75mm and 63mm. The fuel supply system uses an electronically controlled fuel injection system, and the transmission is a continuously variable automatic (CVT).
The frame is a steel monocoque structure, the front suspension is a single-arm link arm hydraulic type, and the rear suspension is equipped with twin shock absorbers with four-stage spring preload adjustment.
The brakes are hydraulic 220mm stainless steel discs with ABS on both the front and rear. Tire sizes are 120/70-12 front and 130/70-12 rear. Overall length is 1,980mm, overall width 765mm, wheelbase 1,385mm, seat height 790mm, vehicle weight 163kg (in drivable condition, with 90% fuel loaded), and fuel tank capacity is 8.5 liters.

In terms of safety, electronic control systems such as ABS and ASR (traction control) are standard equipment. In addition, a keyless system is used, allowing you to easily start the engine, unlock the seat, and lock the steering column without inserting a key.
With the addition of the GTS 300 Super, Vespa’s flagship GTS series now offers a choice of two latest water-cooled engines: a 155cc i-get single-cylinder engine model and a 278cc 4-valve single-cylinder 300 HPE engine model. This allows for a lineup that meets the diverse needs of Japanese users who want both athletic performance and fashion.
