Yamaha XSR900…From 1.32 million yen
Yamaha Motor will release the 2025 model of its sports heritage model, the XSR900 ABS, on April 14, 2025. The manufacturer’s suggested retail price is 1,320,000 yen (tax included) for the XSR900 ABS and 1,353,000 yen (tax included) for the XSR900 ABS Japan-exclusive color.
This model is a neo-retro style bike that combines traditional design with the latest technology, achieving a high level of both riding performance and comfort.
Equipped with an engine with a maximum output of 120 PS
The XSR900 ABS is equipped with an 888cc in-line 3-cylinder engine based on the crossplane concept, which produces a maximum output of 88kW (120PS) at 10,000rpm and a maximum torque of 93N・m (9.5kgf・m) at 7,000rpm. Combined with a lightweight aluminum frame, it achieves excellent handling and acceleration performance.
In addition, the fully adjustable KYB rear suspension and optimized front suspension provide a comfortable ride and high driving stability.
Advanced electronic control and connectivity
The 2025 model features a new 5-inch TFT display, improving visibility and operability. By connecting to a smartphone with the dedicated app “Y-Connect” installed, information such as calls and notifications can be displayed on the display. Furthermore, by linking with the navigation app “Garmin StreetCross,” navigation functions can also be used on the display.
It also comes equipped with YRC (Yamaha Ride Control), which allows the rider to select output characteristics and the degree of intervention of various electronic devices, allowing for riding settings that suit the rider’s preferences.
Adopting a color scheme that evokes the atmosphere of the past
In terms of design, it pursues the silhouette of a classic motorcycle while incorporating modern elements, such as a flat-topped tank, low-slung handlebars, bar-end mirrors, and a seat shape reminiscent of a tail cowl, resulting in a design that pursues functional beauty.
The car will be available in three colors: white, black, and ivory. The ivory color is exclusive to Japan, and orders will be accepted until September 30, 2025.
