Honda Gold Wing Tour…from 3.74 million yen
On April 11, 2025, Honda announced a new model of its large premium tourer, the Gold Wing Tour, as well as a special edition model, the Gold Wing Tour 50th ANNIVERSARY, to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the model’s creation.
Both models will be available for a limited time on Honda Dream from April 17th. Since the first model was released in the US in 1975, the Gold Wing has been known as “The King of Motorcycles” and has continued to evolve as a symbol of long-distance touring. This new model embodies that 50-year history while fusing the latest technology and design.
The “Gold Wing Tour 50th ANNIVERSARY” will be available for a limited time and will be priced at 3,850,000 yen (tax included). The standard model “Gold Wing Tour” will be priced at 3,740,000 yen (tax included). The planned annual sales volume for the series in Japan is 450 units, making it a highly rare model.
Special equipment and appearance of the 50th anniversary model
The “Gold Wing Tour 50th Anniversary” features a deep “Bordeaux Red Metallic” body color, with a dedicated gold logo on the saddlebags. Furthermore, the center console and smart key body also feature a dedicated 50th anniversary logo, creating a special feeling. This model is positioned as a vehicle that symbolizes the history and tradition of Gold Wing.
A power unit equipped with the latest technology and comfortable features
The new model is equipped with a water-cooled, 4-stroke, OHC (Unicam), 4-valve horizontally opposed 6-cylinder engine (total displacement 1,833cc). It delivers a maximum output of 93kW (126PS) at 5,500rpm and a maximum torque of 170Nm (17.3kgf・m) at 4,500rpm, achieving powerful driving performance. The transmission uses an electronic 7-speed DCT (Dynamic Coupling) for smooth shifting and a comfortable ride. In addition, the fuel tank capacity is 21L, making it suitable for long-distance touring.
Sophisticated design and high operability
The vehicle is 2,615mm long, 905mm wide, and 1,430mm high (1,555mm at the top of the screen), with a seat height of 745mm. The vehicle weighs 391kg. The frame is diamond-shaped, with a link-type front wheel and a swing arm (Pro-Link, Pro-Arm) rear wheel suspension, achieving stable riding and high maneuverability. The minimum turning radius is 3.4m, ensuring easy maneuverability.
Honda aims to provide riders with the ultimate touring experience through this new model that combines the latest technology and design while inheriting the 50-year history and tradition of the Gold Wing. This new Gold Wing will set a new standard for long-distance touring.
