The vintage model King is now available as a complete bike series!

Scheduled for release in September 2025

In response to strong demand from many enthusiasts, the popular 400cc class model, the Honda CBX400F (2nd generation), was re-released in 1984 (Showa 59) with a new color scheme and other changes. This model is now available as part of the complete bike series. The original color version of the CBX400F (1st generation) was also released in Pearl Shell White, the same color as the CBX550F.

The distinctive silhouette is faithfully reproduced, including the distinctive color pattern, wheel shape, and X-shaped exhaust pipe. The frame and tank are made of die-cast, resulting in a finished model with a high level of weight and texture.

The Honda CBX400F Type 2 (Black/Candy Ala Moana Red) was revived and re-released in 1984.

The pearl shell white super sports CBX550F Integra was released in Japan in 1982. Its displacement was 572cc. This color scheme was not used on the CBX400F.

This sports model was equipped with an air-cooled, four-stroke, four-cylinder, 400cc engine, with the first model released from 1981 to 1983, and the second model released as a re-release in 1984. It was immensely popular not only on the street but also for racing.

When it was released in 1981, it gained popularity by incorporating the latest equipment, including a 48 horsepower engine, the highest in the 400cc class, and inboard disc brakes, the first in the world for a motorcycle.

After going out of production, its popularity increased over time, and the price of used cars gradually rose. As of 2025, good condition cars are often traded at prices exceeding 5 million yen.

It’s not a Honda CBX400F! It’s an Ape 50, a moped.

The two extremely rare Honda CBX400F models are lined up on the left and right. But if you look closely, does the CBX400F on the right look smaller? That’s right! The CBX400F on the left is the real thing, but the one on the right is a 4MINI replica based on the Ape 50, made by Trust Light Success. The Comstar wheels used on the CBX400F are 14 inches, and each part is made from machined aluminum, with astonishing techniques being used on each part that will leave 4MINI customers astounded. It has been finished with a stunning appearance that is identical to the real thing. PHOTO & REPORT ● KITA Hideaki Trust Light Success http://www.tls.com/

Can I get vehicle insurance and theft insurance for a vintage car with a retail price of 10 million yen? We asked a specialist store

Extremely expensive vintage bikes are also known as “treasure cars” or “treasure models” due to their high demand and rarity. When purchasing a vintage bike that is even more expensive than a new car, one thing you may be concerned about is taking out vehicle insurance and theft insurance. Generally, the amount of vehicle insurance and theft insurance for older used cars tends to be estimated lower than for new cars. We interviewed classic car specialty stores around the country to research vehicle insurance and theft insurance that can be taken out for treasured cars and that are “commensurate with the purchase price and market value.” REPORT ● Kita Hideaki *Note: All information below is current as of October 1, 2024.
