Sophisticated design and advanced equipment

The 2026 Honda CB125F model not only maintains its traditional practicality, but also boasts a sophisticated design and advanced equipment, further enhancing its appeal as an urban commuter. The newly adopted LED headlights and taillights feature a unique vertical light signature, improving visibility and presence. The bike also features a 4.2-inch full-color TFT display that clearly displays information such as speed, fuel level, and gear position. This display can be connected to a smartphone via the Honda RoadSync app, allowing functions such as navigation, phone calls, and music playback to be controlled using switches on the handlebars. It also comes equipped with a USB-C port, making it easy to charge devices while riding.

Improved fuel efficiency and environmental friendliness

The new CB125F is equipped with a 124cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine that produces a maximum output of 8kW (11 horsepower) at 7,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 10.9 Nm at 6,000 rpm. This engine incorporates Honda’s “enhanced Smart Power (eSP)” technology, which improves fuel economy and durability through low-friction technologies such as offset cylinders, rocker arms with needle bearings, and piston-cooling oil jets. The bike also features an idle-stop function, a first for a manual transmission Honda motorcycle. This function automatically shuts off the engine when the bike is stopped, such as at a traffic light, and restarts it with the clutch, reducing fuel consumption and emissions. These technologies result in a fuel economy of 66.7 km/L, enabling a range of over 700 km from an 11-liter fuel tank.

Balancing maneuverability and comfort

The CB125F features a lightweight body weighing just 117 kg and 18-inch cast aluminum wheels, achieving both maneuverability and stability in urban areas. The diamond-type frame is made of high-tensile steel and achieves a balance between rigidity and comfort. The front and rear suspension features 30 mm telescopic forks in the front and twin shocks in the rear with five-stage preload adjustment, making it suitable for a variety of road conditions. It also features a Combined Brake System (CBS) that links the front and rear brakes to enhance stability and safety during braking. The seat height is set at 790 mm to accommodate a wide range of riders, and a passenger grab rail and center stand are also standard equipment.

Color variations and market development

The 2026 model CB125F will be available in three colors: Imperial Red Metallic, Matte Marvel Blue Metallic, and Matte Axis Gray Metallic. It is scheduled to be released in the European market in August 2025, with pricing yet to be determined. There has been no announcement as to whether it will be introduced in the Japanese market at this time, but considering the demand for it as an urban commuter bike, it is expected to be released in the future.

The new CB125F combines fuel efficiency, environmental friendliness, maneuverability, comfort, and advanced equipment, making it the ideal choice for urban transportation. This model is suitable for a wide range of riders, from beginners to experienced riders, and will set a new standard as Honda’s entry-level model.
