Kushitani’s “ONTAKE EXPLORER PARK” will open on Saturday, May 17, 2025
A new adventure begins here
ONTAKE EXPLORER PARK, an adventure field that combines altitude and nature, will finally open on Saturday, May 17, 2025. This year, the park has been renovated to provide an even more comfortable stay. Parking and car camping spaces are free, and Mikasa no Yado, located adjacent to the park, is now available for use. The park has been reborn as a true adventure base where you can enjoy the great outdoors with your whole body while staying there.

New course “LIGHT TRAIL” now available!

This year, a new 15th course, “LIGHT TRAIL,” will be introduced! Designed with the theme of “enjoying riding on your own bike,” this route is recommended for beginners as well. You can enjoy a comfortable ride while experiencing the feeling of being one with nature.
Be surrounded by the excitement of nature, day and night
One of the attractions of ONTAKE EXPLORER PARK is not only the adventure, but also the breathtaking scenery. At night, you can enjoy a starry sky, in the morning a fantastic sea of clouds surrounded by mountains, and during the day, the majestic Mount Mitake spreads out before your eyes. Be sure to experience a memorable experience that can only be experienced here.

“Is your curiosity alive? Is your sense of adventure healthy?” ONTAKE EXPLORER PARK is a place that will awaken the “spirit of adventure” that lies dormant within you. The sense of freedom you feel in nature, the sense of accomplishment you get from running. Why not come and discover your potential?
We look forward to seeing you all there.

This is a new off-road gear line from Kushitani, which has been selling off-road wear under the brand name Holeshot for the past quarter century.
Started development of off-road wear for the first time in 25 years

This is the first time in 25 years that Kushitani has produced off-road wear. To develop this, they built an off-road park with a lab in 2022 in Ontake, Nagano Prefecture.
This project began when the reliable quality of Kushitani’s products was recognized and they were adopted for staff wear at Ontake Ski Resort in the winter of 2021.
Built on the southern slope of Mount Ontake, Ontake Ski Resort is located at an altitude of 2,240m. The resort is famous for its spectacular views and excellent snow quality due to its high altitude, but the staff who spend their winters in the harsh environment required even more high-performance clothing. This meant that the clothing needed to take into consideration not only wind and cold protection, but also mobility and breathability to reduce humidity inside the jacket.
Warm, comfortable, and easy to move in. This clothing, which embodies the “active safety” that Kushitani values, was well received by the staff at Ontake Ski Resort, proving that it can be used not only on motorcycles, but also in harsh environments.

In the snowless season, Ontake Ski Resort transforms into an off-road resort
Kushitani has a history of selling off-road wear under the brand name Holeshot until around 1990.
With a relentless passion for exploring the possibilities of motorcycles and craftsmanship, the company has been seeking to revive off-road wear, and with this opportunity as the starting point for a modern off-road wear brand, Kushitani has participated in a project to utilize a ski resort as an off-road park during the snowless seasons. A
full-scale off-road park has been developed to create new Kushitani products. A new chapter for Kushitani is about to begin from this base.

Delivering deliciousness to your relaxing time

Kushitani holds Kushitani Coffee Break Meetings, which provide a relaxing time between motorcycle rides, and also operates the Kushitani Cafe, which is based on the concept of “a high-class short break.”
Delicious coffee and food can make a trip more enjoyable and everyday life more fulfilling.
With this belief in mind, what can an off-road park offer? While it’s possible to build a cafe or restaurant, we wanted to create a more delicious and relaxing experience for our guests. That’s when we came across Faselo Farm on Kanagawa Prefecture’s Miura Peninsula.
Faselo Farm seeks ways to utilize vegetables that cannot be shipped due to their size, and the owner, a camping enthusiast, proposes a product using dried vegetables.
While simply called dried vegetables, the flavor is concentrated by carefully extracting the moisture over 48 hours. The set includes dried vegetables and other ingredients like risotto rice and penne, so simply add water and oil and heat to create a dish.
This camping food, also available at Kushitani Cafe, is excellent for storing and storing in emergencies. Kushitani also posts camping food-based recipes on their YouTube channel. We hope that you will enjoy outdoor meals freely using dried vegetables that are packed with flavor.

To ensure a safe and comfortable stay!

To ensure a safe and comfortable experience, we ask that you always check the rules before entering the course. The difficulty of the course is indicated by a star rating. The facility itself has areas where you can ride on your own on adventure bikes or trail bikes, and we have also designed some courses that will take your breath away. You can rent bikes and enter the course as part of a touring trip, or climb to the summit with your family, offering a premium holiday for both solo and family travelers.
*The facility does not guarantee safety. Please take sufficient care when riding and enjoy at your own risk.
The EXPLORER PARK is designed so that the various gates (courses) are connected by roundabouts. A roundabout is a circular intersection system where you go around the circle counterclockwise once and then enter the gate of your choice.

There is a guide sign in front of each gate. It indicates which gate you are about to go to and the difficulty level with a star number. Enter in the direction you are going.

From each section, there is only one downhill run. Because the course is long, it becomes difficult to slow down if you go too fast, so be careful when descending.
