What is the One Person, One Flower in Noto Peninsula Project?
Hoping for recovery from the Noto Peninsula earthquake, this initiative aims to bring color and vitality back to the region by having each person grow flowers. The aim is to soothe the hearts of those affected by the disaster and restore beautiful scenery by planting flowers. Not only local residents, but volunteers and tourists also participate, creating flower beds and holding events all over Noto. This project fosters connections between people through flowers and brightens the future of Noto.
What is Nippon Support Touring?
In 2011, JRF representative Shinji Kazama called on riders from across the country to travel to all disaster-stricken areas of Tohoku, offering cooperation and support for the reconstruction efforts. They utilized the mobility of motorcycles to contribute to activities in disaster-stricken areas that were inaccessible by car and to address the unique challenges of each region. This initiative, which aims to transform the “joy of riding into the joy of society” through social contribution, later evolved into the “Let’s Ride Tohoku! MFJ Tohoku Reconstruction Support Touring” (2015-2019), organized by the Motorcycle Federation of Japan (MFJ). Starting in 2020, the Japan Riders Forum (JRF), co-hosted by MFJ, has continued the initiative as the “Nippon Support Touring,” a fun way to ride around the country on motorcycles while also contributing to society. This year’s event will run from Saturday, April 26th to Sunday, November 2nd.
