A fusion of sporty design and advanced equipment

Yamaha has announced the 2025 model of its three-wheeled scooter, the Tricity 125, in the European market. The new model features LED headlights with projector lenses reminiscent of the YZF series, as well as a front mask with stacked lights and horizontal position lamps, giving it a significantly different image from the previous model. The taillights have also been made thinner, giving the overall model a sharper, more aggressive look.
It also comes equipped with a new 4.5-inch full-color TFT LCD monitor, and by linking with Yamaha’s “MyRide” app, it is possible to display smartphone information and use turn-by-turn navigation. This is expected to make travel in urban areas more comfortable and convenient.
High stability and comfortable driving performance

The Tricity 125 employs a Leaning Multi-Wheel (LMW) mechanism on the two front wheels, achieving high stability and cornering with a natural banking angle. The new model employs an Integrated Brake System (UBS) that automatically adjusts the braking force of the 220mm front and 230mm rear disc brakes, providing smooth deceleration and high safety.
The engine is a liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, SOHC, 4-valve, 124cc Blue Core engine that complies with EURO5+ and produces a maximum output of 9.0kW (12PS) at 8000rpm and a maximum torque of 11.2Nm at 6000rpm. The idling stop function and smart key system are still included, improving fuel efficiency and convenience.
Fully equipped for everyday use

The new Tricity 125 is compact and suitable for commuting to work or school in urban areas, yet it offers comfort and convenience. There is approximately 23.5L of storage space under the seat, and it can even store a helmet. It is also equipped with a front pocket and a USB Type-C power socket, so you can charge your smartphone, etc.
It will be available in three colors: Zen Green, Milky White, and Matte Gray, and will be priced at 4,801 pounds (approximately 927,000 yen) in the European market. The release date for Japan has not yet been decided, but updates to the domestic model are expected.
The new Tricity 125 is a model that further enhances convenience and comfort as a means of transportation in urban areas, and future developments will be of interest.
