Yamaha YZF-R1…2.3 million yen

Yamaha Motor will release the 2025 model supersport “YZF-R1 ABS” on May 30, 2025. The manufacturer’s suggested retail price is 2.53 million yen including tax (base price 2.3 million yen), and it will be sold as a “Yamaha Motorcycle Exclusive Model” exclusively at YSP and advanced dealers.
Incorporating technology directly derived from MotoGP

The 2025 model YZF-R1 is based on the concept of “GP teched R1 – An R1 evolved with racing development knowledge,” and further pursues cornering performance and aerodynamic characteristics. It employs technology directly derived from MotoGP machines, and has been improved to enhance the sense of unity with the rider, including the installation of winglets and the adoption of a new seat covering that improves grip and hold.
Improved driving performance

The YZF-R1 is equipped with a new KYB front suspension equipped with an SDF (Separate Damping force Function) mechanism that enables precise damping control. In addition, the front brakes combine Brembo’s Stylema(R) monoblock calipers with a radial master cylinder to enhance control feel.
Design and color variations

The 2025 model YZF-R1 is available in two colors: Deep Purplish Blue Metallic C (blue), which symbolizes the YZF-R brand, and Matte Dark Gray Metallic 6 (matte gray), which accentuates the beauty of its design. The addition of winglets and new seat upholstery has resulted in improvements in both appearance and functionality.
The YZF-R1 is Yamaha’s flagship model that has led the supersport market since the European model was launched in 1998, and has been available in Japan since 2009. The 2025 model incorporates technology directly derived from MotoGP machines, further evolving the bike. If you are considering purchasing one, please contact YSP or an advanced dealer.
