Six models updated at once

Kawasaki Motors Japan will release six revamped models in the KX and KLX series starting July 15, 2025. The lineup includes the flagship KX450 and KX450X, the motocrosser KX250/cross-country version KX250X, the junior-oriented KX65, and the child-friendly KLX110R L, and all models will feature new graphics.
The KX450 features a downdraft intake, a symmetrical intake and exhaust layout, and an optimized aluminum perimeter frame, achieving both nimble handling and stable straight-line stability. It’s equipped with Brembo brakes for improved stopping power and ODI lock-on grips for enhanced operability. It also comes with a full complement of electronic devices, including power mode, launch control, and traction control (KTRC). Another major feature is the ability to change engine mapping via a dedicated smartphone app. The KX450X is an enduro model, with 21-inch front and rear wheels, a side stand, and dedicated suspension settings, further enhancing its adaptability to cross-country riding.
The KX250 is a model that pursues a balance between performance and displacement in the KX series. The engine employs a uniaxial primary balancer, achieving smoothness and vibration suppression from low to high speeds. The electrical devices are equipped with the same features as the KX450, providing high operability and safety. The KX250X is a cross-country model equipped with dedicated suspension, enduro tires, and a side stand. Prices are set at 902,000 yen for the KX250, 924,000 yen for the KX250X (both including tax), 1,089,000 yen for the KX450, and 1,127,500 yen for the KX450X.
The KX65 is a full-fledged kids’ motocross bike equipped with a 6-speed transmission, a 64cc liquid-cooled 2-stroke engine, and suspension with adjustable front and rear rebound damping and rear preload. It is priced at 390,500 yen (tax included). The KLX110R L features a 111cc engine and automatic compression release, and is designed for safety with children in mind, including an electric starter, chain guide, and throttle stopper. It is priced at 297,000 yen (tax included).
To coincide with the release of the new model, Kawasaki will be introducing it to authorized dealers nationwide, as well as to “off-road entry shops” specifically designed for off-road beginners. Kawasaki is stepping up efforts to popularize off-road culture through education for inexperienced riders, rider training, and event planning.
What these six models have in common is their technical specifications, such as excellent maneuverability thanks to their lightweight and highly rigid frames, the latest electronic control devices, and dedicated suspension for each application. Based on these technological capabilities, Kawasaki is pursuing a strategy to enhance its off-road models to meet the needs of a wide range of riders, from beginners to top riders. With their release in July, the KX/KLX series is likely to attract even more attention.
