Bikes Weekly News Digest is a feature that brings you all the notable news from the previous week. This time, we will be introducing the news released from June 16th to 22nd, 2025.
The first in Yokohama

THE ROCKS, a new prefabricated housing brand created from the perspective of motorcycle enthusiasts, has completed its first prefabricated garage house in Takafunedai, Kanazawa Ward, Yokohama. The project was undertaken by real estate company Real Partners Co., Ltd. Reflecting riders’ desire to enjoy their motorcycles safely, comfortably, and with affection, the brand proposes a living space with the garage at the center of life.
It’s difficult to find space to store a large motorcycle in urban areas, and monthly parking spaces and motorcycle containers are expensive and scarce, with security concerns looming. Furthermore, custom-built homes are ideal but expensive, and while pre-built homes fit within budget, the design and interior design can be unsatisfactory. “THE ROCKS” addresses this dilemma unique to motorcycle riders.
The completed property features a spacious garage with an electric shutter, which can comfortably accommodate one standard-sized car or four large motorcycles. It also features a private entrance from the garage to the interior of the home, a layout that allows you to view your beloved motorcycle lit up from inside, and a highly functional design that allows you to enjoy servicing and customizing your motorcycle. The exterior features self-cleaning exterior walls and galvalume steel panels, reducing maintenance costs. The high-insulation, high-airtight structure meets ZEH standards, ensuring environmental friendliness.
The interior is decorated with real wood, vintage tiles, iron parts, and more, creating an appealing design that will only become more beautiful with age. The living room has an open feel with a 3.3m ceiling, and the master bedroom serves as a second living room with a view of the garage. Furthermore, a perforated board has been placed in the entrance, creating a gallery-like display area for helmets and gear.
Even the smallest details, such as the toggle switches and lighting rails, are designed to evoke the aesthetic sense of motorcycle culture, resulting in a finished product that is “pre-built but not mass-produced.”
This property is the first in the series to be sold, with plans to expand further, mainly in the Yokohama area. The company also offers consultations on custom-built homes for those interested. The latest information and property videos are posted on the official Instagram (@therocks_yokohama) and website, drawing attention to the new option of “living with a motorcycle.” For all riders who are passionate about motorcycles, this is the place to start your ideal garage life.
