Triumph Motorcycles Japan has announced that it will introduce a total of 12 new color variations to its Modern Classic, Roadster, Adventure, and Rocket series for the 2026 model year. The new colors further enhance the individuality of popular models, skillfully blending the tradition and modernity of a British brand.
The classic line SPEED 400 is now available in two new colors: Lava Red Gloss/Storm Gray and Pearl Metallic White/Phantom Black. The striking red for a sporty look and the elegant black and white two-tone color scheme will satisfy any rider’s taste. The SCRAMBLER 400 X now comes in a vibrant Baja Orange/Aluminum two-tone color scheme, further enhancing its off-road spirit. Furthermore, the SCRAMBLER 1200 X is clad in a traditional matte khaki green, accentuating its ruggedness with Phantom Black parts.
In the roadster range, the quintessential street fighter, the STREET TRIPLE 765 R, is finished in jet black Phantom Black with accents of Diablo Red to accentuate its sharpness, while the higher-end STREET TRIPLE 765 RS combines deep granite with blue to create a blend of sophistication and sportiness.
The adventure-spec TIGER 900 GT PRO is available in two finishes: Sapphire Black and Snowdonia White/Sapphire Black. Accents of Carnival Red and Triumph Performance Yellow combine luxury and power. The rally-spec TIGER 900 RALLY PRO is also available in Snowdonia White/Graphite and Sapphire Black/Triumph Performance Yellow, combining tough individuality with urban sophistication.
The flagship ROCKET 3 Series now comes in Matte Sapphire Black/Satin Granite for the GT STORM and Satin Baja Orange/Matte Sapphire Black for the R STORM. Both models feature striking color lines on the tank, emanating a unique and overwhelming presence.

Suzuki unveils new GSX-8T and GSX-8TT models, aiming for the European and US markets with neo-retro design

On July 4, Suzuki announced the new GSX-8T and GSX-8TT street bikes. Sales will begin in summer 2025, primarily in Europe and North America. Both models are part of Suzuki’s new neo-retro series, a modern interpretation of classic Suzuki motorcycle designs. Featuring retro touches like a round headlight and handlebar-end mirrors, they combine a 776cc water-cooled inline-twin DOHC engine with a lightweight aluminum swingarm for both agility and comfort. Equipped with SIRS, including an electronically controlled throttle, SDMS with three-stage power adjustment, and a bidirectional quickshifter, they offer comprehensive rider support. The T model evokes the T500 from the 1960s, while the TT features a fairing reminiscent of 1970s road racers. Both models boast fuel economy of 23.8 km/L and CO2 emissions of 99 g/km, offering a new style of riding that combines retro and modern styles.

Retrofittable alcohol interlock and seamless technology announced

Seamless Technology has announced a retrofit alcohol interlock designed to prevent drunk driving. Utilizing the track record they have built up with the Z-GUARD series, they have achieved Bluetooth connectivity, eliminating the need for wiring, and quick installation reduces installation costs. Two configurations are available: a smartphone-managed version and a remote-controlled version, and they are suitable for a wide range of vehicles, from commercial vehicles and logistics and welfare shuttles to personal use. When alcohol is detected, SecureSWITCH/FUSE electrically controls the start of the vehicle to prevent drunk driving. They also plan to provide an SDK, with the possibility of linking with traffic management systems in mind.

Daytona’s new “Wide Rest Chair” is an outdoor chair equipped with armrests, yet weighs just 1.5 kg and can be stored compactly. The armrests on both sides can be adjusted with a belt, ensuring comfort even when sitting for long periods of time. The A7075 aluminum alloy frame boasts a weight capacity of 120 kg and is also equipped with a drink holder. The storage bag has a carabiner and can be used as a small item pocket. Daytona kicks off “Cha Mista☆Rally” across six prefectures

Daytona will start the Cha Mista☆Rally, a large-scale touring rally that will visit 85 locations in Iwate, Niigata, Nagano, Chiba, Shizuoka, and Aichi, from July 1st. By using a dedicated app and collecting stamps via GPS, participants will be entered into a lottery to win luxurious prizes such as seat bags and dashcams for reaching 20, 40, 60, and 85 locations. The rally will run until December 31st and participation is free. The event also includes Asakatsu Cafe venues, proposing a new way to enjoy motorcycle touring.













80% of drivers feel that electric scooters are dangerous, with the most common being “slipping through vehicles.”

Web Crew surveyed 1,088 urban drivers and found that approximately 80% had experienced a close call while driving an electric scooter. The most common response was “weaving between cars” at 69.1%, followed by “suddenly jumping out of an alley” at 53.4%. The most common concern was “sudden lane or trajectory changes” at 64.3%, with 57.8% calling for “mandatory licensing or training” to ensure safe coexistence. Despite the increase in users, drivers are feeling a strong sense of crisis about unpredictable behavior and disregard for the rules.

Racer Takuto Sumi launches donation-based project, cheering on children every time he runs

Professional racer Takuto Sumi has launched the “Lap with you project,” in which he donates money for every lap he completes. The donations will go to the Aichi Children’s Hospice Project, which supports children with childhood cancer and other conditions. On July 26th, children will draw messages directly on the bikes at the organization’s summer festival. Sumi will be using the bike to compete in the Suzuka MFJ Grand Prix in October.
