Features of the new Scrambler 400 XC

Adventure wheels and tires

The new Scrambler 400 XC adds full-scale off-road functionality to the tough style of the previous Scrambler 400. Its biggest feature is the adoption of new side-laced wire spoke wheels that combine lightweight aluminum rims with tubeless tires.

The 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel sizes improve confidence when riding off-road, and provide the rider with a genuine scrambler stance and a confident riding position.

Protective parts for rough roads

A new colour-coded front mudguard and flyscreen are fitted to protect the rider in tough conditions, while a robust aluminium sump guard and engine bars are designed to protect vital components of the bike.

Three new color lineups

Available in three fresh, contemporary colours – Racing Yellow, Storm Grey and Vanilla White – each design features distinctive graphics that match the black Triumph logo, black tank infill and knee pads, and black two-piece rider and pillion seat.

Suspension and brakes

Equipped with 43mm big piston inverted front forks and a rear piggyback mono shock with 150mm of travel each, it provides a smooth ride on a variety of terrains.

The brakes are equipped with 4-piston radial brake calipers and large 320mm front discs, and the optimized pad compound provides powerful braking performance that gives you peace of mind in all conditions.

Switchable traction control and an off-road-specific ABS mode provide safety and versatility on any surface, and when combined with tubeless Metzeler Karoo Street tyres deliver all-road performance.

Full range of equipment and functions

Modern display

It features a clean, contemporary dual-format display with a large analogue speedometer and an integrated LCD screen that includes a digital tachometer, fuel gauge and highly visible gear indicator.

A USB-C socket is installed in the cockpit, allowing handlebar-mounted devices such as smartphones and navigation systems to be charged while riding.

LED Light

The powerful headlight features Triumph signature daytime running lights, while the taillight incorporates Triumph branding with molded light guides.

Engine specs

400cc engine

Equipped with a unique TR series engine, it offers a responsive ride that is typical of Triumph. The 400cc engine produces a maximum power output of 40ps at 8,000rpm and a maximum torque of 37.5Nm at 6,500rpm.

Bosch engine management and ride-by-wire throttle provide intuitive throttle response and control, and it’s mated to a six-speed gearbox with a torque-assist clutch.
