Evolved off-road vehicles released all at once

Kawasaki Motors Japan will release six models of the “KX/KLX Series,” a diverse range of off-road models that can be enjoyed by everyone from motocrossers and cross-country riders to kids and entry-level riders, starting on Tuesday, July 15, 2025. This time, the models feature new graphics that enhance their visual appeal and dynamic off-road riding.
The flagship KX450 continues to evolve

The KX450, the core model of the series, is Kawasaki’s flagship off-road machine. While it differs from the sharp performance inherited from the Z series with its 948cc in-line 4-cylinder engine, the 450cc power unit has been honed specifically for off-road use, employing a downdraft intake and a symmetrical intake/exhaust layout to achieve outstanding intake efficiency and torque characteristics. The lightweight aluminum perimeter frame with optimized rigidity balance combines nimble handling with high straight-line stability.
It also comes standard with a Brembo brake system and ODI lock-on grips, providing excellent braking power and riding feel. It also comes equipped with electronic controls such as power mode, launch control, and Kawasaki Traction Control (KTRC). Another attractive feature is its advanced design, which allows you to adjust engine mapping at your fingertips by connecting it to the smartphone app “RIDEOLOGY THE APP KX.”
The price is 1,089,000 yen (tax included) and it will be sold in lime green.
The cross-country spec “KX450X” is suitable for a wide range of riding situations, from forest roads to races.

The KX450X was developed for cross-country riding based on the KX450. In addition to specially set suspension, it is fitted with 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheels with enduro tires. It also comes with a side stand and is optimized for forest road touring and cross-country racing. Of course, it is also equipped with electronic devices inherited from the KX450 to support the rider even under harsh road conditions.
The price is 1,127,500 yen (tax included), and it also comes in just one color: lime green.
High-level 250cc motocrosser “KX250” and cross-country “KX250X”

In the mid-displacement class, the KX250 features a downdraft intake and symmetrical intake/exhaust system in its engine, delivering both powerful torque from low speeds and sharp acceleration at high rpm. It also features a uniaxial primary balancer to suppress vibrations, resulting in smooth, easy-to-handle characteristics. Equipped with power modes, KTRC, and launch control that can be easily switched at the touch of a finger, it is designed to meet the needs of competitive riders.
The price for the KX250 is 902,000 yen (tax included), while the cross-country spec “KX250X” is 924,000 yen (tax included). The KX250X has a special suspension setup and comes standard with enduro tires and a side stand, making it suitable for a wide range of off-road situations.
There are also plenty of small-displacement models, including the kids’ “KX65” and the manual-clutch “KLX110R L.”

The KX65 is available for kids’ serious off-road debut. Its 64cc water-cooled, two-stroke, single-cylinder engine delivers powerful high-revving performance, and its six-speed transmission makes it suitable for even the most demanding courses. Another attractive feature is the highly rigid semi-double cradle frame and front and rear damping and preload adjustable suspension, allowing for fine-tuning of the settings as the child grows. The price is 390,500 yen (tax included).
The KLX110R L is also still available, a popular lightweight off-roader that appeals to adults’ playful side. Equipped with a 111cc air-cooled, four-stroke engine and a four-speed manual clutch, it’s a fun way to hone your riding skills. It also comes equipped with a full range of safety features, including an electric starter and throttle stopper, making it the perfect introduction to off-road riding for families. It’s available in two colors, lime green and bright white, and is priced at 297,000 yen (tax included).
New graphics make it even more manly, and it will be released at authorized stores nationwide.

KX65
Both models will go on sale at Kawasaki authorized dealers and off-road entry shops from July 15, 2025. All of the new KX/KLX series models feature new graphics, and their aggressive lime green bodywork will make them stand out in the off-road scene.
All of these are off-road vehicles and cannot be driven on public roads. However, they are thoroughly specialized in off-road driving performance, and the lineup can be said to cater to a wide range of users, from racers to forest road riders and families.
