Saturday, September 6th is “United We Ride National Harley Day”
How Harley riders’ miles are converted into donations
For this event, Harley-Davidson has introduced a unique charity system: for every kilometer of distance traveled by Harley-Davidson riders in Japan, recorded through the HD app, Harley-Davidson will convert that amount into 1 yen and donate it to Make-A-Wish, a volunteer organization that makes the dreams of children with serious illnesses come true.
This is an innovative system in which the more a Harley rider rides, the more donations are made. It is a meaningful initiative in which everyday touring can contribute to society.
Donations can also be made directly at authorized dealers
Charity boxes have been set up in the stores of all authorized dealers, and donations can also be made directly to the Make-A-Wish account, making it easy for anyone, even those who are not riders, to participate.
Participants only receive a commemorative gift
Harley owners who support and participate in this event on September 6th will receive a commemorative item such as a special sticker, rider pin, or tote bag at each authorized dealer’s store on a first-come, first-served basis.
All donations will go to Make-A-Wish
All donations will be donated to Make-A-Wish, a volunteer organization that makes the dreams of children battling serious illnesses come true. The funds will be used to make the dreams of children aged 3 to 18 who are battling serious illnesses come true.
At a later date, the company also plans to support children who have dreams related to motorcycles in realizing their dreams.
How to donate directly
To donate directly to Make-A-Wish, please use postal transfer. When making a postal transfer, please make sure to include “Harley” at the beginning of the sender’s name. Details on how to donate can be found on the Make-A-Wish website (https://www.mawj.org/donate/eachtime-donation/).
Participation is possible with advance registration
Whether participating solo or with friends or members of the Harley Owners Group (HOG), riders can pre-register on the registration page (https://hog.blueskyheaven.jp/united-we-ride-2025) between July 25th and the day of the event.
To make “United We Ride – National Harley Day” a memorable event, expectations are high for Harley owners to take to roads across the country to ride and make children’s dreams come true.
