Burgman 400…981,000 yen

The manufacturer’s suggested retail price for the new Burgman 400 ABS is set at 980,100 yen (including consumption tax). It will be available in three body colors: Reflective Blue Metallic, Pearl Matte Shadow Green, and Matte Black Metallic No. 2, and will be available at authorized Suzuki dealers nationwide from July 18, 2025. The price includes recycling costs, but insurance and registration fees are required separately.
Luxury styling and design

The Burgman 400 is Suzuki’s pride and joy, a 400cc luxury scooter. Originally launched in 1998 as Japan’s first 400cc scooter, the Skywave 400, it gained popularity for its high performance, premium ride, and unique styling. In 2017, the name was changed to the Burgman 400 and a major model change was made. It has evolved into a vehicle that emphasizes sportiness while also possessing a sophisticated, urban appearance.
Its style is based on the concept of the “Bergman Coupe,” and it adopts a form that evokes the image of slim, light, and agile driving. The dual LED headlights, sharp LED rear combination lamps, and upward-pointing muffler add a sporty touch to the elegant and flowing form. The three new colors available exude a high-quality presence that blends naturally into the urban landscape.
Equipment that combines comfort and convenience

Another major attraction of this scooter is its equipment that supports comfortable long-distance travel. The thick seat cushion and adjustable backrest allow you to find the best riding position to suit your physique and preferences. There is a spacious 42L trunk space under the seat, which can easily store a full-face helmet. In addition, there are front boxes on both sides under the handlebars, and a 12V DC socket on the right side, which is useful for charging your smartphone while touring.
Security is also top-notch, with Suzuki’s unique immobilizer system, SAIS (Suzuki Advanced Immobilizer System), being adopted. A transponder key and a shuttered cylinder are standard equipment, helping to deter vandals and theft.
Highly efficient and smooth power unit and driving performance

The engine is a 399cc water-cooled DOHC single-cylinder. Suzuki’s unique “Dual Spark Technology” uses two spark plugs per cylinder to improve combustion efficiency, achieving both smooth output characteristics and high combustion performance. It also contributes to reducing exhaust gas emissions while providing a comfortable ride even with two people on the highway. Furthermore, the 2021 model is equipped with traction control, allowing for safe driving even on slippery roads.
The link-type monoshock rear suspension further enhances the riding quality. It strikes a high balance between comfort and sporty performance, making it suitable for a wide range of riding styles, from city driving to winding roads. The 15-inch front wheel provides high straight-line stability, and combined with the slim exterior that makes it easy to maneuver even on narrow streets, it is also very suitable for everyday use in the city.
Electronic controls that assist operation and attention to detail

The starter switch uses Suzuki’s Easy Start System, a smart mechanism that starts the engine with just a light push of the switch. Restarting the bike after stopping is stress-free. The footwell is also equipped with a cut floorboard that narrows on both sides, allowing for excellent foot reach without making the seat height noticeable. This reduces the rider’s burden and increases the sense of security when stopped.
The design of each part is also a highlight, with the bold front mask common to the Burgman series and slim LED combination lamps at the rear that give a sense of lightness, and a sporty yet elegant aesthetic is evident in every detail.
A bike for adults that satisfies both urban and touring needs

This latest Burgman 400 is a vehicle that will not only satisfy users who enjoy long-distance touring and two-seater riding, but also those who travel around the city or use it for everyday transportation. The Burgman 400 is equipped with luxurious equipment, high power performance, and the high-quality design that is unique to Suzuki. It is a vehicle that we would like adult riders to choose who do not want to compromise on either the joy of ownership or the comfort of travel.
