Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. has announced the 2025 model of its urban three-wheeled scooter, the Tricity 300. The manufacturer’s suggested retail price starts at 957,000 yen (tax included), and it will be sold through authorized Yamaha dealers nationwide. In addition to a refreshed body color, the new model also features minor specification changes that enhance convenience and comfort for everyday use.
LMW mechanism that combines stability and natural cornering
The Tricity 300 is equipped with Yamaha’s unique “Leaning Multi Wheel (LMW)” mechanism, which allows the two front wheels to lean independently, achieving cornering performance similar to that of a motorcycle and the stability of a three-wheeled vehicle.The standing assist function is also standard equipment, allowing you to stop comfortably without putting your feet down even when waiting at traffic lights or in traffic jams.
Equipped with a 292cc engine, it is suitable for everything from city riding to touring.
The power source is a 292cc SOHC 4-valve water-cooled single-cylinder engine that produces a maximum output of 20.6kW (28PS) at 7,250 rpm and a maximum torque of 28.9Nm at 5,750 rpm. It complies with Euro 5+ emission regulations, achieving high levels of fuel efficiency and environmental friendliness. It is also equipped with a brake system with ABS and UBS, and a large luggage space of 43.5 liters.
New colors added for improved design
The 2025 model adds two new colors, White Metallic 6 and Pale Gray, further refining the urban and stylish design. The unique form of the LMW mechanism and the combination of the new colors create a striking presence both in urban areas and on touring trips.
