OGK Kabuto will add the "AEROBLADE-6R" to its full-face helmet "AEROBLADE-6" and release it in September 2025. The price is 79,200 yen (including consumption tax). It is a limited edition model.
A luxurious feel created by the intricate twill weave
The AEROBLADE series is committed to achieving “quietness” and is meticulously crafted from component configuration to material selection. The shell was developed using an aerodynamic shape created using CFD (three-dimensional computational fluid analysis). Combined with a lightweight body, it reduces stress on the rider during long tours. The latest model of the AEROBLADE, which can be considered a sports touring full-face helmet, is the AEROBLADE-6. While maintaining the excellent shell shape of its predecessor, the AEROBLADE-5, improvements have been made to the shield system, which is the most important part of the helmet. The “UV & IR Cut Shield” made with Teijin Limited’s heat-shielding material remains the same, but the following changes have been made:
– Shield lock with improved operability thanks to a change in button shape
– Adoption of a two-axis ratchet system that reduces operating noise and improves sealing
– Chin strap changed from a ratchet buckle type to a D-ring type
The newly added “AEROBLADE-6R” is a premium carbon model based on the AEROBLADE-6, pursuing even greater lightness and rigidity. The shell combines hyperglass fiber and high-strength organic fiber material, with the “ACT+C (precision molded carbon + high-strength composite shell)” structure, which molds beautiful twill carbon onto the top surface. It has a luxurious look and is finished with the utmost in lightness and strength, and is worthy of being the pinnacle of the series in terms of materials, structure, and details. It suits the highest-end super sports with a carbon exterior, and would also be fun to use as a one-of-a-kind item for commuting to work or school.
A comfortable sports full-face helmet that pursues lightness and design
The AEROBLADE reduces stress while riding thanks to its lighter weight and improved aerodynamic performance. The lightweight design provides four benefits:
less G-forces on the head during acceleration and deceleration,
resulting in a stable field of vision; easier head movement from front to back and side to side, making safety checks easier
; reduced strain on the neck and shoulders that support the head
; and reduced wind resistance while riding

Additionally, OGK Kabuto’s proprietary aerodynamic device, the Wake Stabilizer (PAT. NO. 4311691), and a frontal projection area that has been narrowed to the limit, reduce air resistance not only when riding straight, but also when riding in crosswinds or checking behind the rider.
The base model, the AEROBLADE-6, uses the high-strength composite material “ACT-EVO” for the shell and liner, which combines excellent penetration resistance and impact absorption. By introducing FEM (Finite Element Method) structural analysis, the strength of each part was optimized, further improving safety performance and reducing weight.
The air ventilation mechanism that releases hot air from inside the helmet is located in three places: the front, rear, and chin. The large air inlet near the mouth is connected to the air route inside the helmet, preventing fogging on the inside of the shield and glasses, and further reducing breathlessness. In addition, it features OGK Kabuto’s unique side outlet trim that uses negative pressure to release heat inside the cheek pads. This further enhances the comfort features.
The shield system is equipped with a two-axis “DAF ratchet” and a specially designed “DAF-1 shield.” The DAF-1 shield has a 3D shape with excellent aerodynamic characteristics, and can be fitted with a pinlock sheet. Its center lock system with a large lever allows it to be opened and closed securely even while wearing gloves. Combined with the newly shaped integrated trim rubber, it achieves high sealing and quietness.
The removable interior features an under-trim that easily expands, and is made of “COOLMAX” which is soft to the touch. The cheek pads are shaped to allow glasses to be worn smoothly, and the ear area is designed with a spacious space pre-set, and removable ear cups are standard equipment. The space around the ears can be adjusted as needed.
