Inheritance and Evolution | A new generation EV that inherits the DNA of CUXi

Yamaha Taiwan officially announced the CUXiE pure electric scooter on September 4, 2025. This is the latest model in the CUXi series, which debuted in 2006 and has enjoyed great popularity, especially among women and young people. Its design concept is described as “classic, cute, and energetic.” The CUXiE retains the classic, rounded design while incorporating the modern CUBE aesthetic for a sophisticated exterior. Furthermore, it is the first to be compatible with the Gogoro Network™ battery swap system, adding a new option to the Yamaha EV lineup.
The CUXiE is not just an electrified model, but was developed to redefine urban mobility. It combines environmental performance, convenience, and design at a high level, and is suitable for a wide range of uses, from everyday transportation to stylish proposals.
Simple and sophisticated design with six color variations

The CUXiE has a simple yet soft design based on the theme of “a rounded edge within a square.” The LED headlights and compact body lines create an urban impression, combining the advanced technology of the latest EVs with the cuteness of the CUXi.
The chair is available in six colors. The single-cell model comes in four colors: glossy gray, glossy white, blue-green, and matte metallic beige, and is characterized by a design that emphasizes a soft, everyday feel. The dual-cell model comes in two colors: matte metallic pink and glossy dark gray, emphasizing an active, urban atmosphere. Furthermore, the seat is made of soft brown leather for the single-cell model, while the dual-cell model uses non-slip dark gray woven fabric, enhancing the sense of quality both visually and tactilely.
Highly practical and comfortable features to support urban life

The CUXiE pursues everyday convenience and offers the largest storage capacity in its class. The single-cell model has a 29.6L main storage space, which can easily store a 3/4-size helmet or raincoat. It also comes with a 1.4L front storage compartment, which is designed to fit a 700ml drink bottle.
The seat is 720mm long, providing ample comfort for both solo riders and parent-child tandem riders. It also features a “one-touch reverse assist mode” for smooth maneuvering in tight parking spaces. A USB charging port is also standard, making it suitable for today’s urban lifestyles where smartphones are often used. Furthermore, the low-noise, low-vibration motor characteristics ensure a comfortable travel experience even amid the hustle and bustle of the city.
EV performance and safety features | High-output motor and reliable peace of mind

The CUXiE is equipped with a highly efficient motor that delivers a maximum output of 2.5kW and a maximum torque of 100Nm. When combined with the Gogoro Network™ battery, the single-cell model achieves a range of approximately 39km, while the dual-cell model achieves a range of approximately 83km. Designed for urban travel, it is ideal for short-distance commuting and shopping trips.
In terms of safety performance, in addition to the front and rear disc brakes, the bike is equipped with SBS (Synchronized Brake System) to ensure stable braking performance. Furthermore, LED lights are fully installed, greatly improving visibility when riding at night. It also has an automatic power cut-off function linked to the side stand, which reduces the risk of tipping over, and is packed with features that enhance safety in urban areas.
The Yamaha CUXiE inherits the beloved, cute design of the CUXi series while combining the latest EV technology with practicality optimized for urban lifestyles. With its simple, sophisticated design, comprehensive functionality, and excellent environmental performance, the CUXiE is the perfect new choice for urban riders.
