Leveraging the existing lineup

Suzuki has announced the second lineup of its 2026 model year in Europe. This latest announcement features a diverse range of vehicles, including sports bikes, street bikes, touring bikes, adventure bikes, and dual sports bikes. The lineup includes 40th anniversary models, special editions, and enhanced equipment models, highlighting the company’s intention to promote its performance, technology, and breadth. Below, we will summarize the key points for each model category.

Hayabusa|Special Edition

The centerpiece of the 2026 model year is the legendary Hayabusa, powered by the latest generation 1,340cc inline-four engine and equipped with advanced features as standard, including adjustable KYB suspension, Brembo Stylema brakes, traction control, bi-directional quickshifter, launch control, smart cruise control and all-LED lighting.

Now, a new Hayabusa Special Edition has been introduced. This special model features an exclusive Pearl Vigor Blue color scheme and exclusive graphics and seat cowling. The basic structure of the body is the same as the regular Hayabusa, but it is strongly differentiated in terms of decoration. The selling price has been set higher than the regular version, and it is positioned as a model that is more collectible and has a greater presence.

The standard Hayabusa’s color scheme has also been revamped, with multiple options available, including Candy Red + Glass Sparkle Black and Pearl Vigor Blue + Pearl Brilliant White.

GSX-R 40th Anniversary Edition (GSX-R750Z, GSX-R600)

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the GSX-R series, Suzuki will be releasing the limited edition GSX-R750Z 40th Anniversary and GSX-R600 40th Anniversary models. Featuring exclusive livery in Pearl Vigor Blue and Pearl Tech White, as well as the 40th anniversary logo, these models recreate the design reminiscent of the classic GSX-R in a modern style.

The GSX-R750Z 40th is equipped with a 750cc inline 4-cylinder engine, a twin-spar frame, Showa BPF forks and remote reservoir shocks, a 2-mode engine map, a lap timer, a programmable shift light, mirror-integrated turn signals, etc. The front turn signals are integrated into the rearview mirror, making it unique.

GSX-S1000 / GSX-S1000GT+

The street naked model GSX-S1000 is based on a 999cc GSX-R engine and is equipped with a twin-spar frame, adjustable KYB suspension, Brembo monoblock ABS, 3 ride modes, 5-stage traction control, East Start, Low RPM Assist, Suzuki clutch assist system, bidirectional quickshifter, MotoGP-style winglets, etc. It also comes equipped with a 5-inch TFT LCD meter and advanced safety features, making it suitable for both city riding and sports riding.

The GSX-S1000GT+ sports touring model is designed to withstand long-distance riding. It features a GSX-R-based 999cc engine, adjustable suspension, Brembo brakes with ABS, smart cruise control, three riding modes, five-stage traction control, an assist mechanism, a TFT display, and a design with adjusted body balance. It comes standard with side cases and is designed for long-distance touring.

Add settings for DR-Z4S | DR-Z4S+

The dual-sport category will also see a revamp. The DR-Z4S, which was significantly improved in 2025, is equipped with a fuel-injected 398cc engine, a steel twin-spar frame, adjustable KYB suspension, IRC dual-purpose tires, three ride modes, four-stage traction control (including Gravel mode), an ABS switchable mechanism, Suzuki Easy Start, and a bi-function LED headlight, demonstrating its versatility on both off-road and on-road.

The newly added DR-Z4S+ model incorporates genuine accessories in addition to the standard specifications, such as a skid plate, hand guards, and front/rear brake rotor guards, enhancing durability for touring and light trails.

V-Strom 1050/1050DE/800

The lineup includes the V-Strom 1050/1050DE as an adventure tourer, and the V-Strom 800 series (800/800DE/800DE Adventure) as a mid-range adventure. The V-Strom 1050/1050DE is equipped with a 1037cc V-twin engine and is equipped with cruise control, bidirectional quickshifter, lean-sense ABS, a 5-inch TFT meter, USB port, adjustable screen, variable seat height, etc. The 1050DE is additionally equipped with spoke wheels, gravel traction mode, rear ABS switch function, etc.

The V-Strom 800 series is equipped with a 776cc parallel-twin engine and features traction control, two-stage ABS, bidirectional quickshifter, Easy Start, low RPM assist, color TFT meter, variable screen, etc. The DE and Adventure models are equipped with a 21-inch spoke front wheel, long-travel suspension, gravel mode, rear ABS switch function, skid plate, accessory bar, quick-release aluminum panniers, etc.

The second installment depicts the strategy and outlook

This announcement once again demonstrates Suzuki’s deep penetration and multi-layered development in its model strategy. In addition to the mid-weight naked/sports models (such as the GSX-8T/GSX-8TT) already introduced in the first wave, this lineup will cover “Tradition,” “Commemorative,” “Touring,” “Adventure,” and “Dual.”

Commemorative models (GSX-R 40th Anniversary, Hayabusa Special Edition) emphasize the brand’s history and appeal to its fan base, while enhanced models like the DR-Z4S+ aim for practicality and differentiation. The extensive lineup of adventure models and the establishment of sports, street and tourer models also give the bike a multi-layered look, clearly showing the intention to attract a wide range of buyers.

The specifications, price, and color options that will be introduced in Japan have not yet been determined, but based on the announcement, it appears that Suzuki is strongly hinting at a launch in 2026.
