The latest lineup refines the Honda CBR lineage

MIVV, a long-established Italian exhaust brand, has announced its latest aftermarket products for the Honda CBR family. The products are for the 2024 to 2025 model CBR650R, and in addition to the traditional street-appropriate exhausts, they also offer a wide range of products specifically for the circuit.
MIVV has been a manufacturer specializing in motorcycle exhaust systems since its founding in 1969, and first developed a muffler for the Honda CBR 600F in 1991. Since then, they have analyzed numerous Honda engines, from single-cylinder to four-cylinder, and have continued to supply products that make the most of their characteristics.
Three models available: AK-1, GP PRO, and MK3

Three types of full exhaust systems are available for the CBR650R. The AK-1 and GP PRO are designed to meet the homologation requirements for road use when combined with the ACC099.A1 catalyst, sold separately by MIVV. The other system, the MK3, is designed for full racing use and is not intended for road use.
The AK-1 is designed to be both lightweight and high-performance, and the silencer body can be selected from stainless steel or titanium. Both are equipped with a carbon tapered end, and a carbon heat shield is also included as standard. A catalyst (353 euros) is required for road compliance, but the rewards are great. It delivers a maximum +8.60 horsepower (11,600 rpm) and +6.60 Nm (9,500 rpm), and is up to 2.9 kg lighter than the original.
The GP PRO is a model that is attractive for its compact and streamlined design. It is assembled by semi-hand TIG welding and has a removable protective grill at the outlet. The lineup includes two types: carbon body and black stainless steel, and boasts a maximum performance of +8.50 horsepower (11,600 rpm), +6.60 Nm (9,400 rpm), and a weight reduction of 2.6 kg. A carbon heat shield is also included as standard.
The race-derived MK3 is up to 3.5kg lighter

The MK3, which cannot be used on public roads, is a race-oriented product that directly incorporates the technology that MIVV has cultivated in Moto3 and Moto2. The carbon or black stainless steel body features a high-tech grille on the exhaust outlet that catches the eye. Dyno data shows a maximum increase of 7.90 horsepower (11,600 rpm) and +5.90 Nm (9,500 rpm), with a total weight of just 5.0 kg. This is a significant weight reduction of 3.5 kg compared to the original.
This dramatic weight reduction and increased power not only improves the CBR650R’s acceleration performance, but also has a direct effect on its handling. By reducing the weight of the stock muffler from 8.5 kg to 5 kg, the bike can turn more quickly from a bank, providing an immeasurable advantage in time attack races.
Details of the sound and torque characteristics are available on the official MIVV website
Detailed power curves and sound clips for each model are available on the MIVV official website. Torque tends to increase across the entire range, with a clear difference becoming apparent around 3,000 rpm. This increases power even in city riding, and combined with the smoothness of the CBR650R’s four-cylinder engine, it provides an extremely easy-to-handle and sporty riding feel.
MIVV’s proposals this time go beyond simply dressing up the appearance and changing the sound quality. They are a series of products that balance performance improvements that draw out the engine’s potential and a light feel that eliminates unnecessary weight, all of which are balanced with advanced design and material technology. The AK-1 and GP PRO are for road use, and the MK3 is for serious circuit racing. Each is an extremely attractive option that will further enhance the individuality of the CBR650R according to your purpose.
